Reporting to the Manager, Revenue Development, the Revenue Development Officer will provide fundraising leadership for (CCS) volunteers and donors in Nova Scotia. Specifically, the Officer will support volunteers who lead Relay for Life, CIBC Run for the Cure, independent fundraising events and Daffodil Month activities in Nova Scotia.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Engage and mobilize volunteers for fundraising and event management
Accountable to national and regional strategies and key performance indicators for Relay for Life, CIBC Run for the Cure and Independent Fundraising Events.
Meet and/or exceed annual revenue targets and manage budgets
Build & maintain committees (role management/retention)
Communicate achievements both internally and externally through various reports
Produce new and innovate ways to generate revenue
Execute engaging promotions to support fundraising initiatives via social media, earned media, email, etc.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:University Degree, College Diploma, or Certificate in Fundraising or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
3+ years’ work experience in fundraising, preferably in the not for profit sector
Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media
Business acumen, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and time management
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and work in a fast-paced environment
Proven relationship management skills
Creative thinker who drives collaboration and has a sense of urgency
A self-starter who displays initiative and discretion
Previous fundraising or sales experience considered an asset
Must have valid Canadian Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
