Financial Analyst Job Openings in Winnipeg,

has an opportunity for a full-time Financial Analyst on our team. Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for producing timely financial reporting and will participate in a variety of accounting and finance activities.

Areas of Involvement:

Month end financial statement preparation and related management/board reporting.
Targeted financial reporting and results analysis such as financial margin results, budget variance analysis and forecasting.
Monitor and report on credit union liquidity.
Year-end annual external audit including year-end working paper preparation.
Assist with annual budgeting process.
Review and development of accounting controls and assessments.
Technical research and impact review of new accounting standards or new regulatory standards.
Assist in the development of accounting procedures related to new or specialized products or transaction streams.
Participate in special projects.
Facilities management relating to all of the credit union’s owned properties.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in accounting, including variance analysis, budgeting, taxation, financial reporting and forecasting, expert knowledge of Excel and accounting software packages. A post-secondary degree/diploma in business, finance, audit, accounting or related field, and holding or pursuing CPA designation is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A minimum of three years’ experience, preferably in financial services industry, is considered an asset.
